How to get to Rennes?

  • Arriving in Rennes by train

Rennes is easily accessible by train from Paris. It takes about 1h30 from Paris Montparnasse to reach Rennes.

  •  Arriving in Rennes by bus

Rennes can also be reached by bus from certain parts of Europe, for instance there is a bus that comes directly from Barcelona.

The train and bus timetables can be found on the SNCF website. Tip: in France, the earlier you book your trains, the better the prices.

  •  Arriving in Rennes by air

The Rennes Bretagne Airport is about 8 km to the south west of Rennes. You can take a bus from the airport to the city center in about 20 minutes.

 

Electrical outlets

For France there are two associated plug types, types C and E. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type E is the plug which has two round pins and a hole for the socket’s male earthing pin. France operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
